The Mattoverse Electronics AirTremTrashStortion is a cool and unique pedal that combines an AirTrash and a TremStortion into one. It's a lot of fun to run a clean or distorted tremolo after the AirTrash. AirTrash has a soft-touch relay bypass, while TremStortion has a hard-wired true bypass, and can be turned on/off individually. ●TremStortion TremStortion is an analog optical tremolo that can create a variety of tremolo sounds, from clean tones to full distortion. Eight waveforms (ramp up, ramp down, square, triangle, sine, sweep, random pulse, random slope) can be selected, and these can be controlled with rate and depth. In addition to output and gain controls, a three-position switch allows you to select tremolo pre-gain, post-gain, or mysterious inversion (center position). You can also set the tap tempo using the TEMPO foot switch. ●AirTrash AirTrash is an effector that creates a sound that sounds just like garbage. While developing an effects pedal, I came across a really terrible sound. I thought it was terrible, but for some reason I couldn't stop playing it. Using that circuit as a base, I tried to improve it by eliminating noise and making it easier to control, but at the same time, the sound became less interesting, so I stopped improving it. Of the three knobs on the AirTrash, the blue one is volume. The other two are hard to describe. They're unpredictable. AirTrash works well as an effect pedal on guitars and basses, but isn't very useful on synths or drum machines. Even with guitars and basses, you'll get the best performance if you connect it to the beginning of the effects chain, but depending on the order in which you connect it, it may not work properly. This pedal is very sensitive to picking attack and input volume. ●Control ・RATE Controls the tremolo/vibrato speed. Clockwise increases the speed. When tap tempo is input, it will be overwritten by that speed. ・DEPTH This adjusts the overall depth of the tremolo/vibrato. The brightness of the LED visually indicates the depth of the effect. When DEPTH is set to minimum, the LED does not light up. By combining the DEPTH control with the BLEND control, you can adjust the overall strength of the effect over a wide range. Also, by adjusting this in combination with WAVEFORM, you can control the depth of the effect as you feel it. ・WAVEROFM Switches between 8 types of waveforms: ramp up, ramp down, pulse, sine, triangle, sweep, random pulse, and random slope. Even with the same Depth control setting, the perceived strength of the effect will vary depending on the waveform. ・GAIN Controls the strength of the distortion and the gain of the tremolo. ・PRE/POST Select pre-gain or post-gain. The center position produces a mysterious sound. ・OUTPUT Adjusts the overall volume of the pedal. ・TEMPO foot switch Tap tempo switch. You can set the tremolo/vibrato speed by tapping the foot switch. Setting the speed with tap tempo will overwrite the value of the RATE control. ・BYPASS footswitch This footswitch turns the TremStortion effect on and off.
