△ 【Product Material】: Exquisitely carved boxwood. Enjoy the natural color and texture of the wood. Handmade wood carving with meticulous attention to detail.
△ Shaka Nyorai is the principal image of the Soto, Rinzai, and Obaku sects. It is available in a size that can be enjoyed in daily life as a Buddhist altar principal image, a talisman to ward off evil spirits, or as a tasteful piece of interior decor.
This mascot-type wooden Buddha statue is made from precious boxwood and depicts Shaka Nyorai in the form of a child. Though it is only a short statue, every single one of the Buddha's curled hair has been carefully carved, and its intricate design is captivating.
△ The boxwood used as the material has a fine texture and beautiful grain, making it possible to create intricate carvings. When carved, the oils within the cells give the piece a glossy finish, and as the oils oxidize over the years, they gradually turn amber, enhancing the piece's character.
△ Product Photo Description: All photos of this product are real photos, and we strive to show customers the real effect, but there may be slight color differences due to lighting and screen settings, etc. This does not affect the quality. Thank you for your understanding.
Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. Shakyamuni was so named because he was a member of the Shakya tribe in what is now Nepal. He was born to King Shuddhodana, the king of this country, and Maya, a woman of the Koliya tribe in the neighboring country. There are various theories about the year of his birth, but in Japan, 463 BC is the most common date. Shakyamuni was born on April 8th (the day of the Buddha's birth in Northern Buddhism) in Lumbini Garden, where Maya was resting on her way to her parents' home to give birth. He then took seven steps in each direction, east, west, north, and south, and said, "I am the only one in heaven and earth who can eliminate all suffering in the world."
