Features of “YC61”
The YC-10, Yamaha's first “YC Series,” went on sale in 1969, when interest in highly portable organs grew due to the boom in bands such as The Beatles. Its excellent portability and rich tonal expression, which later led to synthesizers, were recognized by many artists on stage, and the YC-20/30/25D/45D series models were created. The “YC61” inherits the identity of the “YC Series,” and is a new-generation stage keyboard that responds at a high level to the needs of modern keyboardists, such as “being “authentic (real)” as much as possible, having simple and functional operability that allows you to concentrate on playing, and having high portability that you can carry yourself to any site.”
■Sound
An organ, piano, and synthesizer are essential for keyboardists active on stage. In addition to the acoustic piano sounds and electric piano sounds cultivated with stage pianos CP88/CP73, the YC61 is equipped with a newly developed Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) organ sound source and an FM sound source that realizes dynamic performance expression, and pursues the “real” sound required by keyboardists.
ORGAN & ROTARY SPEAKER
Yamaha premium acoustic pianos
Includes 4 types of acoustic piano voices, starting with 2 types of premium concert grand pianos (CFX, S700). Both are iconic sounds that are indispensable as standard piano sounds.
Electric piano & keyboard sounds
It is equipped with high quality standard sounds that enhance versatility as a stage keyboard, from traditional electric pianos to strings, synth pads, etc.
VCM technology
The original instrument has a delicate, dynamic, sometimes ambiguous, musical expressive power. Yamaha's VCM technology reproduces that circuit on a virtual circuit, even one transistor or resistor, and revives it as a realistic sound that is impossible with simple digital simulations. VCM organ sound source and VCM rotary speaker that reproduce traditional tonewheel organs and rotary speakers. A VCM effect that faithfully reproduces circuits from vintage effectors, high-end studio equipment, etc. VCM amplifier models, etc. that reproduce classic guitar amplifiers that go great with organs. VCM technology is used at the heart of the YC61's sound.
Semi-weighted waterfall keyboard
Equipped with a newly developed semi-weighted waterfall keyboard ideal for glissando and organ playing. The matching between the keyboard and sound source has been optimized so that various keyboard sounds can be played comfortably, not to mention the organ.
drawbar
It is equipped with a see-through drawbar that combines the operability of a traditional tonewheel organ with a sophisticated image.
“One-to-one” interface
Front panel (sectional configuration)
SSS compatible live set that does not cause interruptions in sound
High portability to support active live activities
Master keyboard function
Works with Mac/PC/iOS devices
