● Paulownia wood boxes are lightweight, have low shrinkage, are resistant to decay and insects, are flame-retardant, and have excellent humidity control, making them ideal for storing items.
● While some inexpensive paulownia boxes have thin lids and bottoms made of other woods or plywood, this box is entirely made of 6mm thick paulownia wood. (The inner side panels are 3mm thick.)
● The box features a double-layered, inro-style construction, making it durable, airtight, and less susceptible to external influences.
● While originally designed as an outer box for our high-end gift items, it's also perfect for organizing small items and storing documents at home.
~Caution~
○ If dented due to dropping or impact, apply water to the dented area and allow it to air dry. Small dents will almost always return to their original shape.
○ Natural wood in sheet form is sensitive to changes in humidity. Paulownia wood, in particular, is especially sensitive due to its soft texture.
Exposure to dry air can cause the wood to warp. This is especially likely if left in a dry room with air conditioning during winter.
While the paulownia wood box has side panels attached to the lid and bottom, the softness of the material can cause the lid (bottom) to warp.
We use thoroughly dried paulownia wood when manufacturing the boxes, and we inspect them to ensure they are warp-free before shipping. However, if the wood is excessively dry, the lid may occasionally warp upon arrival.
Please understand that this is a characteristic of natural wood (paulownia wood).
