The birth of a "standard" earphone has emerged from research on the differences between sound sources produced using 2-channel stereo methods and those created with binaural technology, based on acoustic engineering, acoustic psychology, and spatial acoustics. It has been widely recognized that listening to binaural-produced sound sources from games and VR with conventional earphones or headphones can create a unique discomfort in the high-frequency range. Researchers in acoustics had grasped the causes of this issue, but there had not been sufficient successful examples of countermeasures. As a result of a approach to address this problem, we have developed earphones that allow listeners to experience the intended timbre, spatial image, and directional sense in binaural-produced sound sources from games and VR. The VR3000 for Gaming has achieved even higher accuracy in reproduction through extensive research.
The gaming earphone "VR3000 for Gaming," focused on "spatial" expression, is developed based on research into the acoustic physical characteristics required for transducers to reproduce the intended acoustic spatial impression in immersive binaural sound playback with headphones and earphones. By accurately reproducing the "space" of games and content as intended by the creators, it enhances immersion. For example, in dark missions of FPS games, rather than emphasizing the sounds of opponents, players can naturally enhance their responsiveness by immersing themselves in the game world. As a result, they can move their bodies with a tactile sense, allowing them to enter the game world similarly to how they would in the real world.
The completely newly designed driver unit "f-Core DU" is equipped with a design, components, and production technology that have all been re-evaluated. To achieve high sound quality that is unprecedented in this price range, a overseas base has been established, and driver components such as the diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuit, and adhesives have been newly designed, leading to the development of the completely 6mm dynamic driver unit "f-Core DU." The material of the driver front housing uses brass, which is less affected by magnetic forces and has a higher specific gravity than typical aluminum.
