KATO N Gauge ED79 Single-Arm Pantograph Electric Locomotive Model Train 3076-3

---------------------------------------------------------------------- This product models a locomotive belonging to the JR Hokkaido Hakodate Transportation Office Seikan Branch (formerly Goryokaku Locomotive Depot). It reproduces the style in which the regular pantograph on the 2-end side (towards Hakodate) was replaced with a single-arm pantograph, as of 2010. The compact exterior, inheriting the design of the ED75, is faithfully reproduced. The rooftop equipment, a characteristic of AC electric locomotives, is realistically recreated using metal wire and green insulators. It played an active role in pulling the sleeper express trains "Hokutosei," "Twilight Express," and "Cassiopeia," as well as the sleeper express "Hamanasu." You can enjoy the ED79 in its later years, when its standard pantograph was replaced from the original lower-frame type to a single-arm pantograph.
