【EL7 FU 2.3K for PS5】 – The PlayStation 5 Wireless Controller uses four replacement analog joysticks. OEM repair parts are manufactured by Favor Union (FU). The EL7 comes with orange 2.3K side trim pot resistors. (Note: FU is also a supplier for PS4 and PS3 DualShock. For the 10K version, please see EL2.) (🔺 For the Hall effect version, please see B0CYBQQ644.)
【Compatibility】 – The PS5 controller uses two types of joysticks from two different manufacturers. The EL7 is made by Favor Union (FU), and the EL6 is made by ALPS. The 14 prongs are positioned in the same location. The EL7 and EL6 are interchangeable.
【Bonus Gift: Drift Fix PCB】 – Joystick drift is a common problem. Even new joysticks can drift. Potentiometers are born without precision. Wear on the carbon film, spring fatigue, and material stretching prevent them from being centered. Dust, moisture, and drops further exacerbate the problem. To solve the problem of drift in one direction, we have included a PCB as a gift. Simply adjust the variable resistor to eliminate the drift.
【Replacement Time】 – If your controller is experiencing issues such as drift, creep, stutter, blind spots, dead spots, dead zones, unresponsive clicks, or failure to center after a while, you should replace the analog joystick due to years of wear and tear. OEM genuine replacement parts guarantee precision and extend lifespan.
[DIY Reminder] – With 14 prongs, soldering the entire module requires considerable skill. To solve most joystick problems, we recommend replacing the potentiometer first. If you need to remove the entire joystick module from the PCB, we recommend two methods: 1. Refer to the desoldering kit with product ID: 2. Alternatively, you can cut the 14 prongs one by one with wire cutters.

EL7 FU 2.3K for PS5 controller
4x Replacement analog joystick is used in PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controllers. The OEM repair part was made by Favor Union (FU). EL7 comes with 2.3K side trim pot resistors in orange color. (Be noticed: FU is also the supplier to PS4 and PS3 DualShock, please go to EL2 for the 10K version.). PS5 controllers use two kinds joysticks from two different manufacturers. EL7 was made by Favor Union (FU), while EL6 was from ALPS. The 14 prongs were positioned as the same. EL7 and EL6 are interc
Hangeable with each other
It’s a hard time to de-solder the problem module with as many as 14 prongs. We figured out possible ways for your reference:
✔ Replace the white disc alone even without soldering
In some cases, you can just replace the little wheel in the potentiometer sensor to solve some specific problems like: Dead spot, blind spot, dead zone, creeping, or not as responsive as it should be
✔ Replace the potentiometer sensor alone with an iron
According to some estimates, 80% chances of joystick problem was caused by the potentiometer. In another words, the rotary mechanism and the tactile switches are not the problem. You can simply replace the side potentiometer sensor alone to solve most of the problems
✔ A heat gun to replace the whole module
This is the most suggested for an experienced soldering expert
✔ Experts with a normal iron to replace the whole unit
For a soldering expert with no professional de-soldering wick braid, solder sucker pump or hot air rework station at hand. We suggest crushing the problem joystick into small enough pieces with a pair of pliers. It will be more easier than de-soldering the entire 14Pin unit
✔ By professional technicians in a cellphone repair shop
Suggested for someone with no handy tools
