・At Chinoiserie Modern, the brand's worldview has always been expressed through completely original designs and full-surface embroidery. This parasol uses "cutwork embroidery," which can be said to be the pinnacle of embroidery. This "organza cutwork embroidery" is not the simple, traditional style of single-point embroidery or hem embroidery (= scallop embroidery), but rather full-surface cutwork embroidery that extends across the entire umbrella fabric.
This design is a collaboration with Hideki Kimura, also known as "Keyan," a leading painter from Kyoto. Keyan's paintings, which are depicted in a unique and bold style in various locations including famous temples, have many fans. Two designs, Keyan's representative work "Lotus Flower" and the first-ever combination of "Peony & Wisteria Flowers," are boldly expressed on the parasol using organza cutwork embroidery. This parasol has a strong presence.
Furthermore, despite the bold embroidery, the "Kawazu-bari" special double-layer construction provides complete light blocking, a UV cut rate of 99.9% or higher, UPF 50+, and a top-ranked heat shielding function with a heat shielding index of 58.

A one-of-a-kind, beautifully embroidered organza parasol created in collaboration with Kyoto's rock-and-roll muralist, "Keyan."
A premium "actress parasol" that looks like a work of art.
Keyan's signature designs, "Lotus Flower" and "Peony x Wisteria," are expressed using a combination of full-surface embroidery (cutwork embroidery) and organza.
The outer fabric and organza are embroidered together, the outer fabric is cut out, and then further embroidery is applied to the organza. This organza embroidery is significantly more time-consuming than conventional full-surface embroidery. Compared to embroidery alone, it has a sense of lightness and creates a nuanced beauty. Furthermore, even though it is full-surface embroidery, the special double-layer construction method, known as "kawazu-bari," achieves complete light blocking and high heat insulation/heat dissipation.
◆It also addresses the glare from sunlight reflecting off the ground, thanks to a black urethane coating that prevents reflection.
◆The organza fabric used also boasts a water-repellent function of level 4, offering high water resistance that can withstand rain and sudden downpours.
