English The Animal Kingdom. Language Game. ELI & ET TOI

The Animal Kingdom is a language game for learning the names of animals in English and vocabulary related to their main characteristics and habitats.     Difficulty level: A1-A2   Bingo-style game: Each participant receives one or more boards with pictures of different animals. The leader then draws cards one by one and, depending on the level of difficulty, shows the pictures or reads the words aloud to the other participants, whose task is to find the corresponding equivalents on their own boards. The first player to match all the names or illustrations on their board(s) to the presented pictures or read the names is the winner. Depending on the players' vocabulary and language skills, the following variants of matching cards to the boards are possible: - name - name - photo - photo - name - photo - photo - name   Another game variant: Each player receives several cards and a board with a list of animals with a specific trait related to their environment, lifestyle, or anatomical structure. The player's task is to complete the cards with all the animals on their list. To do this, the first player asks their neighbor a question about the animal they need (for example: Have you got the rabbit?). If the asked player has a card with that animal, they answer affirmatively, "Yes, I've got the rabbit." and passes the card to the person asking, or if there is no such card, replies: No, I haven't got the rabbit. The person being asked then asks another player about one of the animals on their list. Each animal can be asked multiple times and to multiple people, but once received, the card must be passed to another player who asks about it. The first player to "complete" all the animals on his list wins.    Language goals:  - learning the names of animals in English (66 words) - learning vocabulary related to selected features of animals and their habitat.    Age range: children from 7 years of age, teenagers, adults   Application: The game can be used both during classes at school and at home (playing with friends and family, or private language lessons English).   Additional benefits: The Animal Kingdom game improves mental skills such as memory, concentration and perceptiveness, promotes effective memorization and teaches activity and healthy competition, and its playful nature helps in establishing social relationships with other participants of the game and has a positive effect on reducing the distance between the student and the teacher.   The game was developed based on the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - level A1-A2.     The set includes: -36 boards with one groups of animals on each side and illustrations on the other, -66 cards with illustrations of animals and their names, - instructions in English.
