Studio Ghibli's masterpiece is now available in a digital remastered version! Story: Tsukishima Shizuku is a bright girl who loves reading. In her third year of middle school, while everyone around her is focused on exam studies, she spends her time engrossed in books at the school library and the public library. One day, she discovers the name "Amasawa Seiji" on a library checkout card. This name appears in almost every book she reads. Eventually, Shizuku meets a boy who has decided to go to Italy after graduating from middle school to train as a violin maker. That boy is "Amasawa Seiji." While drawn to Seiji, Shizuku is torn by her insecurities about her unclear future and her own talents. Eventually, she is deeply moved by Seiji's way of life and begins to write a story featuring a cat figurine named "Baron" from the mysterious antique shop "Chikyuuya," run by Seiji's grandfather, Mr. Nishi.
