Skilled craftsmen adjust the tension of the threads while weaving, resulting in a rough, textured surface. The denim we use, carefully selected from Setouchi denim that carries on the traditional techniques also found in Okayama denim, is completely different in "quality" and "fading" from denim materials that may look similar at first glance.
