Deep-steamed tea is made by steaming it for two to three times longer than regular tea, which allows the ingredients of the tea to be extracted more easily, resulting in a richer, more flavorful green tea with less bitterness. Furthermore, we added matcha to create a tea with a strong light blue green color.
Kakegawa City is often featured on TV as a city of longevity. Most of the green tea that people in Kakegawa drink is deep steamed tea. The long steaming time allows the tea to contain nutritional components that would otherwise not be dissolved.
Kakegawa, which has rolling hills, grows tea with thick mesophyll, which is suitable for the deep steaming process, so it is widely known as a production area for delicious deep steamed tea.
We use triangular nylon tea bags that allow the tea leaves to spread well and the ingredients to dissolve easily. It can be used in teapots and cold water pots, and you can enjoy the authentic scent.
[Cold Brew] Place one tea bag in a 1 liter pot of cold water, chill it in the refrigerator, and enjoy.
[Pour hot water] Place a tea bag in a teapot (350-500ml), wait 30 to 50 seconds, swirl the teapot 2-3 times, then pour into a teacup and enjoy. One serving is approximately 3 to 5 cups of tea.
The tea leaves, which have been carefully cultivated over a year, are transported to the tea factory for just two weeks, and various efforts are made to transform the freshly picked tea leaves into the tea we are familiar with. The tea manufacturing process includes steaming, drying, rolling, and rolling and drying, with steaming being the most important step. Since tea is a living thing, each day and each field has its own individuality. The tea master observes the condition of the tea leaves and changes the degree of steaming in order to bring out the maximum flavor. Depending on the color of the steamed leaves and the feel of your palm, you can determine the steaming method that best suits your tea that day.
