2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Product introduction The Matsu type had a higher ability to be built quickly than conventional destroyers, but the Navy demands that its ability be further improved. The policy is to change the station line structure, which takes time to build, to a straight line structure to further increase mass production. The ``Tachibana'' type was built as this Kaimatsu type. The ship type section has been changed to a structure that uses straight lines instead of flares (wave-shielding curves from the water line to the edge of the deck). For this reason, the shape of the plane of the bow became sharply pointed, which was a big difference from the pine shape. The stern was also changed from a circular shape to a straight line shape known as a cruiser stun. From this kind of work, 14 ships were completed in about eight months until the end of the war. Some of these Matsu-class and Tachibana-class ships were handed over to the Republic of China Navy as compensation ships after being engaged in demobilization projects. While most of the reparation ships handed over to other countries were scrapped, the three ships handed over to the Republic of China Navy, Tsuta, Kaede, and Hatsubai, along with the coastal defense ships that were also delivered as reparation ships, constituted the mainstay of the Republic of China Navy's combat force, and they were committed to the battle against the Chinese People's Liberation Army that occurred around Taiwan waters.
